The young adventurers have been working towards their goal with a monthly car wash, but also by doing odd jobs, organising Bingo nights, making and selling crafts and more. Nikki Farley, scout leader of 1st Whitchurch Scouts, said: From confidence in talking to people, to fundraising and of course trying amazing activities while building new friendships.
Approximately 45, scouts from countries will be attending the festivities which take place every four years. The Jamboree, which is the largest event organised by the World Organisation of the Scout Movement, will last 12 days as a “life-changing adventure” for young people from across the world to come together, promote peace and understanding among youths from different cultures.
